Carziqo Plans Sunday Operations for Autonomous Ride-Hailing and Logistics Fleets

Carziqo Chief Executive Officer Zaydenn Harrington disclosed the operational adjustment in a public statement on August 5, saying the company intends to replace its fixed weekly maintenance shutdown with a more flexible, vehicle-specific servicing system.
Under the planned arrangement, autonomous ride-hailing vehicles and delivery units will remain available for deployment on Sundays. Each vehicle will instead be assigned an individual maintenance window based on operational schedules, mileage, technical condition and service requirements.
According to the company, its fleet-management platform will coordinate when vehicles should travel to designated service locations for inspection, cleaning, preventive maintenance, software diagnostics and other routine servicing.
The move represents a significant change in Carziqo’s operating model. The company has traditionally used Sundays as a fleet-wide maintenance period, temporarily removing vehicles from active service to allow technicians and operations teams to conduct inspections and upkeep.

Instead of withdrawing the entire fleet from service on the same day, Carziqo plans to stagger maintenance activities throughout the week. Vehicles will be directed to service points during lower-demand periods or when their operating schedules allow, helping maintain broader fleet availability without eliminating essential inspections.
From Fixed Shutdowns to Dynamic Maintenance
The transition reflects the growing role of automated fleet-management systems in modern mobility operations.
Unlike conventional transportation fleets that rely heavily on manually arranged servicing schedules, connected autonomous vehicles can continuously transmit information related to mileage, battery condition, component performance, operating hours and diagnostic alerts.
This information can allow fleet operators to identify when individual vehicles require attention and schedule maintenance more precisely. A vehicle showing a technical warning may be prioritized for immediate inspection, while another vehicle with normal diagnostic readings may remain in operation until its scheduled service window.
Carziqo said its dispatch system will be used to coordinate passenger or delivery demand with vehicle-maintenance requirements. Vehicles scheduled for servicing will automatically travel to approved locations for cleaning, inspection or maintenance before returning to active deployment.
The company expects this approach to improve vehicle utilization while distributing maintenance workloads more evenly across its service network.
